Attributions in Sustainable Development literature: an Indic case to look beyond European 'Enlightenment' and towards the Mahābhārata

Abstract: "In this paper, first, the mainstream Sustainable Development literature is studied to identify key historical attributions of the concept currently in vogue. In light of specific evidence from the critical edition of the Mahābhārata, an Indic case is posited for revisiting one of the key attributions in the mainstream Sustainable Development literature."
